Lara Habet, BLACKFINN
Lara Habet is a 32 year old Loudoun County resident that was born in Holland, Michigan
with her 1st generation parents, originally from Jordan. She grew up in Potomac, MD
and then went off to college at LSU where she double majored in Communications and
Sociology. Lara then worked for a State Senator for one year as an intern, and was hired
as full time Senate Aide.
She moved back to the DC area in 2010 and worked at NIH for 3 years. In 2010, she also
started working part time as a bartender at Blackfinn for extra cash, when they offered
her the position as Sales and Marketing Manager. She has been working with the
company ever since, and is now is the Director of Sales for Blackfinn and their other
concepts.
Lara is an active member of the community and serves on the Board of Directors of the
First Responders Foundation. She is a member of Loudoun County Chamber of
Commerce and the Ashburn Rotary. In 2017, Lara was honored as one of Loudoun’s top
young professionals in the Loudoun Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards.
With a huge passion for fundraising, Lara spends a great deal of her personal time and
career organizing and planning events that raise money for local charities - Smashing
Walnuts, Team Mathias, Humane Society of Loudoun, Leukemia Lymphoma Society,
Loudoun First Responders Foundation, and many more.
Lara’s personal goals include traveling as much as humanly possible, continued success
in her career, and always helping to raise money and awareness to for local charities that
need it the most.
One of her mantras is “Family Over Everything.” Lara has 3 little brothers - one 8 year
old - Rami, two twins that are 7, Rani and Sammy. They are her entire world, and she
feels they are the best thing to ever happen to her and she gladly dedicates her life's work
to make them proud and to continue being a positive role model.
