KELSEY CARLSON SETTLE, GREEN ROOST

Kelsey Carlson Settle is the owner of Green Roost, a boutique that focuses on socially and environmentally conscious gifts and fashion. She has worked in the retail field in several capacities for the past 15 years and has found a home in running her own boutique.

Kelsey has been a resident of Culpeper since 2009 and has become increasingly passionate about the success of Downtown Culpeper. She was a four-year member of the Board of Directors of Culpeper Renaissance, Inc. (CRI), and served as the President of the Board from 2014-2016. Since its inception in 2013, she has been the Committee Chairwoman for the Gnarly hops & Barley Festival, a local craft beer event that brings 2000+ people to Culpeper annually. She also served as a member of both the Town of Culpeper Parking Authority and Culpeper Crime Solvers Board.

Continuing her work for Downtown Culpeper, Kelsey has started volunteering as a member of the Town of Culpeper UDA Master Plan Advisory Committee, which is working to develop a comprehensive vision for Downtown.

Most recently, Kelsey began her tenure as a coach for E Squared (Entrepreneurial Energy. This program aims to expose high school students to real-life business situations both through training by local business people and through the team experience of creating a business venture in a competitive environment. She believes this program is helping to mold our youth into future business leaders and is honored to be participating as a coach.

Kelsey is happily married to Chris Settle, and they live in Culpeper County with their three “fur children”.
